Regular Meeting Minutes
9 January 2017
The Board of Selectmen held a regular meeting on 9 January 2017 at 4:30 PM in the Meeting Hall of Memorial Town Hall to review budget requests. First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder, Selectwoman Mary Jo Nosal and Selectman Skip Sibley were present. Finance Director Nicole Stajduhar attended to present the budget overview.
- Review of Budget Requests for FY2018 with Nicole Stadjuhar, Finance Director
Nicole Stajduhar distributed budget documents, including spreadsheets for Operating expenses, Capital Expenditures and Salaries. She also included a budget overview, which highlights the material changes from FY 2017 budget to FY 2018 budget for Operating, Capital and Salaries. The Capital request shows a 3.17% increase, though it was the feeling of the Capital Committee that several items would come out, likely bringing the request down substantially. Her overview showed the increases and decreases on the operating budget, as well as on the capital and salaries budgets. At the end of the discussions, the Finance Director said that she would make the adjustments that were discussed, and send all the selectmen the updated documents. There was discussion about the need for a follow up meeting, and it was decided that the
Selectmen would decide this at their next regular meeting. There was a discussion about the Accounting Software being used by the Finance Dept. and whether or not it is adequate, and the Finance Director felt that at this time it is adequate.
Selectman Sibley made a motion to adjourn at 6:52 PM. Second by Selectwoman Nosal. So voted.
